Castle Week

7-Day QLA Castle Seminar Schedule

A typical Castle week begins with arrival and a welcome dinner, followed by regular QLA training sessions through Days 2–5. Day 6 introduces the pseudo-hardcore deal simulation, where participants apply what they learned throughout the week in a practical deal-making format before the formal close and departure morning.

Arrival from 3:00pm onwards, arrival drinks, and welcome dinner.

Days 2–5

Breakfast, full course sessions, advanced course work, implementation planning, morning and afternoon breaks, lunch, one-on-one appointment windows, drinks, dinner, and evening videos/movies selected by Dan.

Day 6 & Night 6

New format: a pseudo-hardcore deal simulation where participants apply what they learned throughout the week by identifying, structuring, pressure-testing, and presenting a deal in an execution-focused environment. The day concludes with the graduation dinner and formal close to the Castle experience.

Continental breakfast in the Pavilion and departure from the estate by 10:30am unless a one-on-one meeting is scheduled.

QLA Hardcore Seminar 2.0 is an enhanced and highly selective version of the Hardcore programme, developed from the results achieved during the December 2025 Hardcore Programme.

Preparation

Business Cases, Viewing & Requirements

Attendees should prepare business cases with the information necessary to evaluate a potential acquisition, merger, or sale opportunity. More information is preferable to less.

  • Profit and loss statements
  • Historical financial performance
  • Expenditure and operational data
  • Supporting due diligence documentation
  • Any additional material relevant to the transaction

Hardcore Requirements

Dress code: Business attire for sessions and dinner. Black tie is mandatory for graduation evening.

Required viewing: Two episodes of Succession and two episodes of Billions.

Technology: Bring a laptop computer, power adapters, and charging cables.
